The President Delegate of the Supreme Council of the Judicial Power announces the conclusion of the Council’s 2024 second regular session, held since Thursday, September 12, 2024 (Rabi’ ul-Awal 8, 1446).
Salé, December 11, 2024 – The Supreme Council of the Judicial Power and the Ministerial Delegation for Human Rights inked a cooperation and partnership agreement. The signing ceremony took place at the Justice Ministry’s Training Institute in Technopolis-Salé.
On Monday, October 28, 2024, the MA-JUST tripartite program was officially launched, a collaborative initiative spearheaded by the European Commission for the Efficiency of Justice (CEPEJ) alongside the Council of Europe and the European Union. The program, titled “Towards a More Protective, Accessible, and Efficient Justice System in Morocco: Solutions Proposed by the Council of Europe’s Mechanism for the Efficiency of Justice,” aims to strengthen the Moroccan judicial system. The launch saw participation from key Moroccan judicial institutions, including the Supreme Council of the Judicial Power, the Presidency of the Public Prosecutor's Office, and the Ministry of Justice.
The Supreme Council of the Judicial Power, in collaboration with UNESCO, hosted, on October 8-9, 2024, a national colloquium titled “Emerging Trends and the Roles of AI in the Judicial System” at the SCJP annex. The event was attended by 40 judges and several Moroccan and international experts.
Mr. M'hammed Abdenabaoui, President Delegate of the Supreme Council of the Judicial Power, is currently conducting an official visit to the judicial institutions of the Republic of Austria. The president is accompanied by a delegation of high-ranking SCJP officials, following an invitation extended by Mr. Georg Kodek, President of the Austrian Supreme Court of Justice.
After receiving the approval of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, in his capacity as President of the Supreme Council of the Judicial Power, trainee judges of the 46th cohort were officially sworn in. The ceremony took place on Thursday, September 19, 2024, at the Court of Cassation, per Article 40 of the organic law on the Statute for Judges.
